Advisory
Agriculture
Few industries are as heavily regulated and challenged – both in terms of EU law and nationally – as agriculture. Our specialists have insight into the business, operational, and structural conditions of agriculture.
We are independent of authorities at all levels and safeguard the interests of agriculture in relation to the authorities, with no considerations other than purely professional ones.
Our team of specialists advises modern agricultural enterprises on real estate, investment in and the purchase and sale of agricultural enterprises, commercial contracts, and restructuring.
Investment, generational succession, and the purchase and sale of agricultural enterprises
We advise on the possibilities of establishing companies with the participation of external investors who acquire equity interests in the company in accordance with the provisions of the Agricultural Holdings Act. Agricultural companies can thus be established with flexible ownership structures that can provide external financing as equity instead of debt capital, which burdens operations.
We advise on the transfer of agricultural enterprises both nationally and internationally.
- Due Diligence

- Criminal cases – e.g., for the use of employees without residence/work permits, animal transports, buffer zones and designated nature areas
- Fence, prescriptive rights, and neighbor disputes
- Board and housing court cases

- Voluntary agreements regarding designated nature areas and action plans

Commercial contracts
With increasing internationalization and the increased complexity of cases, it is important that companies’ agreements with partners and suppliers are executed correctly, so that everyone is in the best possible position from the beginning. Our in-depth industry knowledge ensures agricultural companies receive advice of the highest quality.
We advise on all types of contracts, for example:
- Tenancy and lease agreements
- Financing and leasing agreements/sale and lease back
- Delivery and trade agreements
- Partnering and project development agreements

Restructuring
We make a concrete assessment of the individual agricultural enterprise in collaboration with management, creditors, and other relevant stakeholders, after which we prepare an action plan, for example:
- Discussion and assessment of the company’s financial situation and opportunities
- Participation in negotiations with financial institutions and creditors
- Restructuring plan for the company
- Bankruptcy
