SØNDERBY LEGAL is the data controller for the personal data processed about the client.
Personal data
In order to provide legal assistance to the client, SØNDERBY LEGAL collects and processes the following information about the client: Name, e-mail and telephone number.
If the client receives legal assistance as a private person, SØNDERBY LEGAL also collects and processes the following personal data about the client: National identification number and address.
In order to provide sufficient and satisfactory legal assistance to the client, it may in certain cases be necessary for SØNDERBY LEGAL to obtain additional personal data about the client, e.g. tax information, information on financial circumstances, including salary income, debt, etc.
SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data about counterparties and third parties in cases, as stated in the case in question.
Processing
SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data about the client, which is necessary for the purpose of fulfilling SØNDERBY LEGAL’s delivery obligation to the client.
In certain cases, SØNDERBY LEGAL will process special categories of personal data, which require SØNDERBY LEGAL to obtain consent from the client.
Disclosure
SØNDERBY LEGAL only discloses the client’s personal data to third parties when it is necessary to fulfil SØNDERBY LEGAL’s delivery obligation to the client.
Storage
As a starting point, SØNDERBY LEGAL stores personal data about the client for 5 years after the end of the case.
In certain cases, SØNDERBY LEGAL stores the client’s personal data for up to 10 years after the end of the case, if it is deemed necessary for the sake of SØNDERBY LEGAL’s advisor liability.
Measures
SØNDERBY LEGAL has adopted an internal information security policy, which contains instructions and measures that protect the client’s personal data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental access, etc.
In the event of a security breach that involves a high risk for the client, SØNDERBY LEGAL will notify the client of the security breach as quickly as possible under the circumstances.
Rights
Clients, counterparties and other third parties, about whom SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data, can request SØNDERBY LEGAL to change or update their personal data, gain access to the personal data or that SØNDERBY LEGAL wholly or partially deletes the personal data.
Complaints
Clients, counterparties and other third parties, about whom SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data, can complain about the processing of their personal data to the Danish Data Protection Agency via e-mail to the Danish Data Protection Agency’s main mailbox dt@datatilsynet.dk or via their digital mailbox at www.borger.dk.
