Would you like to gain practical experience with legal case handling at a law firm while you study? Then you may be our new student assistant at our office in Copenhagen.
We are looking for a committed and academically strong student assistant who wants to become part of a professional and ambitious team. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our lawyers and legal advisers and gain valuable experience with legal work in practice.
About Sønderby Legal
Sønderby Legal is a business-oriented law firm advising both Danish and international companies and organisations. We primarily work with real estate, construction law, EU law, agriculture, M&A, as well as company and commercial law.
We have offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Randers and consist of around 30 employees, including lawyers, trainee solicitors, legal advisers, legal secretaries and students.
About the position
As a student assistant at Sønderby Legal, you will be an integral part of the day-to-day case handling. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of legal tasks and gain a solid insight into everyday life at a modern law firm.
Your tasks may include, among other things:
- Legal research and literature searches
- Review of case law, legislation and legal literature
- Drafting memoranda and drafts of pleadings
- Preparing bundles of documents and extracts for court cases
- Practical and administrative tasks related to case handling
- Telephone duties, meeting preparation and other ad hoc tasks
You will receive ongoing guidance from experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility as you develop.

The position is, as a starting point, approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility in relation to study and exam periods.
Your profile
We imagine that you:
- Are studying law (stud.jur.) or business law (stud.merc.jur.)
- Are in your 2nd or 3rd year of your bachelor’s degree programme
- Have a high academic standard and strong study results
- Work in a structured and independent manner
- Are committed, responsible and service-minded
- Would like to develop your legal skills in practice
- Previous relevant work experience will be an advantage, but is not a requirement
