Personal data policy

1. Data controller

SØNDERBY LEGAL is the data controller of the processing of personal data about the client.


2. Personal data

2.1 
In order to provide legal assistance to the Client, SØNDERBY LEGAL collects and processes the following personal data about the Client: Name, Email and Phone Number.

2.1.1
If the Client is a private person, SØNDERBY LEGAL further collects and processes the following personal data: Personal Identification Number and Address.

2.1.2
In order to provide sufficient and satisfying legal assistance to the Client, SØNDERBY LEGAL may, in certain cases, require further personal data about the Client, e.g. on tax affairs, financial circumstances, including income, liabilities etc.

2.1.3
SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data about counterparties and third parties, which appears in the case concerned.


3. Processing

3.1.
SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data about the Client, which is necessary in order to fulfill SØNDERBY LEGAL’s obligation to provide the Client with sufficient and satisfying legal assistance.

3.1.1
In certain cases SØNDERBY LEGAL processes special categories of personal data (sensitive data), which requires that SØNDERBY LEGAL obtains the consent of the client.


4. Disclosure

4.1
SØNDERBY LEGAL only discloses personal data about the Client to third parties, when it is necessary in order to fulfill SØNDERBY LEGAL’s obligation to provide the Client with sufficient and satisfying legal assistance.


5. Storage

5.1
SØNDERBY LEGAL stores personal data about the Client for 5 years after the case is closed.

5.1.1
In certain cases SØNDERBY LEGAL stores personal data about the Client for up to 10 years after the case is closed, if it is necessary for the purpose of SØNDERBY LEGAL’s professional liability.


6. Measures

6.1
SØNDERBY LEGAL has adopted an internal policy on handling of personal data, which contains instructions and measures that intend to protect the Clients personal data against unauthorized disclosure, unintended access etc.

6.2
In case of security breach, which includes a high risk for the Client, SØNDERBY LEGAL will inform the Client about the security breach as soon as possible.


7. Rights

7.1
Clients, counterparties and other third parties, which SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data about, may request SØNDERBY LEGAL to change or update their personal data, get access to the personal data or that SØNDERBY LEGAL wholly or partly delete the personal data.


8. Complaint

8.1
Clients, counterparties and other third parties, which SØNDERBY LEGAL processes personal data about, may complain about the processing of their personal data. The complaint must be filed to the Danish Data Protection Agency by email to dt@datatilsynet.dk or by telephone +45 33 19 32 00.
